- Sweetser, 50 Moody St., Saco, ME 04072 --Eslie J. Parquette School library - Saco
- 6:00 pm-7:30 pm
ABLE accounts are tax-free savings accounts for the benefit of individuals with disabilities, which may be funded by the individual or by family and friends. Generally speaking, funds held in the account will not disqualify the beneficiary from receiving needs-based governmental benefits. Proper use of an ABLE account can provide the beneficiary with funds that can be used for a variety of expenses, providing the individual with greater financial flexibility than would otherwise be available to him or her. This workshop will provide peers and family with an overview of the basic rules governing ABLE accounts and the planning opportunities available with the use of such accounts.
